I called to arrange a pickup about 1 week before I needed my car shipped - which was probably a little too close for comfort. However, this was just one of the many facts I did not know before starting. I worked with Ali and she did an excellent job of answering all of my questions and walking me through the process.
My specific considerations: narrow time frame for pickup, narrow time frame for delivery and specific conditions for delivery, in particular weekdays after 6PM.
Ali worked with me to find a carrier that could accommodate all of that. The pickup was on time and prompt. The guy who picked up my car through Best Delivery and Moving Services was friendly and reassuring. During the entire process, I received regular phone calls from Ali who made sure I had everything I needed.
Delivery was a breeze. I actually picked the car up from a lot that was local to my delivery point because I had a day off. The carrier was accommodating (though I did make arrangements at the time he picked up my car). We had all the details ironed out so he knew that I would pick the car up 3 days early before a long weekend and he did not have to deliver it to my final destination, saving him some time and gas. Win-win as far as I am concerned. If he did need to deliver it, there would have been zero issues.
My total cost for a 5 day pickup window with insurance was $1795. This was quoted to me 1 week before my anticipated pickup; price may have been cheaper if I had called earlier but I'm not sure about that.
Shipment was from NC to WA state. The car arrived undamaged but dirty. Nothing a simple carwash could not take care of and nothing that I did not anticipate with a car being shipped on an open truck cross country.
Would definitely use again for my next move.
