I found shipping cars is not for the faint of heart. After leaving a message for the broker, I waited and waited to hear back. Then, I finally called the office and spoke to someone who questioned the accuracy of the written quote I received via email. After finally speaking to the person assigned to me, I learned that, as I read elsewhere, the initial quote was a teaser. If I really wanted my car shipped at a specific time and under certain terms, it would cost me at least $200 more. In fairness, I got the same higher price from another well-rated broker. After that, it could not have gone more smoothly. I got a pick up for the quoted price plus $200 on the day I needed, and the car was dropped off the next day. The carrier called me and gave me accurate pick up and delivery times. The car arrived in good shape. I hope not to need to ship a car again though!
