Thelma and Louise driving cross country stopping at the Bates Motel. That is the image I had in my
head of my 21 year old daughter and a friend driving her car from CA to GA. So I decided to ship the car and started my research. I had never done this before so this was a totally alien process to me.In researching I came upon AmeriFreight and saw that they had A ratings from the BBB and few major complaints. I also called another company and was told to call back later much closer to the date the car was available. That worried me because what if they couldn't find a driver and the car didn't arrive in time. I was working with a narrow window of time.
Then I called Amerifreight and spoke with Jorge who explained how the process worked and made it sound as if my requirements were workable ( car not available til 5/30 and had to arrive by 6/8). He answered numerous paranoid questions such as What if the car falls off ? etc. The price seemed in line with what I had previously been quoted (1175). 15-30 minutes after we agreed on a price he was e-mailing and calling me to say that he found a driver. Amazing. Everything worked just as it should have and was handled professionally. The car was picked up on 5/30 and delivered on 6/4. It arrived unscathed in plenty of time. I was very pleased with the service and would recommend the company.
