Getting a vehicle transported is not a simple task, at least for me it wasnt. The entire process was very stressful because you basically have to put your trust in someone you do not know, and hope they deliver your vehicle to you in a timely manner or in the condition you left it in. I have read in some cases the drivers can even change the price on you without letting you know. I have done plenty of homework before selecting a company to go with and I am glad I researched first. I am in the military and I needed to ship my vehicle to my current duty station in Florida. Before I contacted AmeriFreight I went through at least three other agencies before finally choosing them. I started off the process all wrong, I went through a website and left my contact info, so all of these companies were calling me and emailing me non-stop day and night. This was a huge inconvenience. I finally chose a company that sounded legit but they ended up not contacting me for a long time after I placed my order. I had to keep calling them asking for a status update. I understand it takes time to find a driver to accept the price but is it too much to ask to get a call at least once a month? Anyway I went through two more companies that did the same thing. This entire process took me two years to get my car here. Unfortunately I didn't know about AmeriFreight until recently, if I would have gone with them in the first place it would probably have only taken me two weeks at the most to get my car here from start to finish. The person I was in touch with was Jorge, he made the experience a lot less stressful. He actually kept me in the loop with everything that he was doing. Even when I thought the price was too high he tried to find a driver that would be willing to ship my car for a lower price. Like I said before if I would have contacted AmeriFreight first and talked to Jorge, I could have gotten my car here two years ago! The only thing I didnt really like about AmeriFreight was the deposit price is kind of expensive, but overall I still think they deserve five stars and will use them again when I end up leaving this duty station.
