I wouldn't.
I decided to ship rather than sell because it worked out to be cheaper than the difference between what a comparable used car would cost and what I could sell my car for, but I'm not sure the amount of stress it caused was worth the financial save. I only had two carrier inquiries the entire twoish months my listing was up, I turned down the first (received three days before the move) because it was significantly higher than my initial quote, the second... well it ended up being the same but at that point we'd been backed into a wall, they were able to pick it up the day AFTER we moved so it was a scramble to find someone who'd be around during the middle of the work day to hand over my keys... and I'm not supposed to rank the carrier on this because it is a review of Amerifreight, but let me just say that I'm glad they got my car to NH undamaged, but that's the only really good thing I can say. They ended up picking up the car the day AFTER they said they would (further inconveniencing the people get to be there). They were not worth the extra money $300 (from the initial quote) they wanted.
I worked directly with Jorge and despite my dissatisfaction with the whole my interactions with him were positive. He responded to my inquiries in a reasonable fashion, and was pleasant and patient throughout the whole process. However, I was the only one he would speak with. When my partner called to discuss the carrier because I was at work and unable to return calls he received no answer and no response to the message even though he referenced our account number. I also wish that I had been kept better informed of the whole process. Waiting for weeks with absolutely no contact was nerve wracking. Regardless, I don't feel that I was intentionally misled, I think my experiences speak less to Amerifreight as a company and more to the nature of the beast that is cross country shipping.
