I have looked everywhere online and got at least a couple of dozen auto shipping quotes. Alas! none of the quotes made any sense and finally I stumbled upon Amerifreight's website. As soon as I visited the website, I was contacted by Jorge on a livechat window and he gave me a quote which was $300 less than the average quote I received ! By the way, I wanted my car to be shipped cross-country from Rochester, NY to Fremont, CA. And then, I spoke to their customer service rep: Rachel and she was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the transaction. Rachel gave me a call within a week giving me the details of the carrier and the pickup dates. The price I initially agreed was $1125 per car with $250 deposit. But she told me that the price the carrier was asking was $1350 and she offered me a discount of $100 on my deposit so that I ended up paying only $1250 which was still at least $250 less than any other shipping company out there! I couldn't be happier with the way Amerifreight did the business. I took gap insurance which was $95 more just coz this was the first time I ever shipped my cars so total costed me $1345 which is super reasonable given the time in which I received my cars. See below. So here comes the best part, I was contacted by the driver from the designated carrier: Your Choice Transport LLC and he scheduled a pickup and told me that it would take 10 days to deliver the car. Needless to say, he was extremely professional and friendly. He gave me a call 3 days later after picking up and told me that he will be here the next day. Cross-country in 4 days... he must be kidding I thought and here he was... the next day a couple of hours earlier than he mentioned, with my car!! The car was dirty as anyone would expect especially when it's a cross-country move. But, it had no scratches or whatsoever on it. Was extremely happy with the driver, his professionalism, and his service. I might not move long distance again but I ever do, Amerifreight is going to ship my cars again period. Thank you for the excellent customer service!!
