The hard-working carrier arrived on a rainy Saturday in August, within 90 mins of the time he said he would be here. Did you know these huge carrier trucks can't come into your driveway, or you neighborhood, or even a too-busy road outside your rural neighborhood? So we followed the big truck to a wide street that had an extra lane in the middle so he could safely park his big rig. Safety was a priority with him.
We watched him maneuver his truck and finally drive our car on it and secure it, for about 45 minutes. The drivers do not have an easy job!
And amazingly, about 10-12 days later, the car arrived in California.
The company, Amerifrieght was very responsive to our initial inquiry about the cost and method of shipping the car. They made themselves available for questions through email and phone contact.
The price of the shipping changes depending on whether or not a carrier "is available" or "has a space on his truck". I'm don't really understand this kind of instability - but I guess this is the way the industry is run.
Amerifrieght was also responsive when I contacted them while my car was on route - not QUITE as responsive as they were when they were initially trying to get my business!
Our car, however, arrived safely and we are relieved and would use this company again.
