Just the facts: Open transport of 4d sedan from NY to CA

I had ordered for the car to get shipped on 7/27 from NY to CA with the economy saver deal, which meant Amerifrieght would not confirm the final amount until a carrier would offer his price for the transport and I would agree or not. The initial quote for the car was $1195 (or rather $1175 with the student discount). My earliest available date was 8/3. On 8/7, my rep had contacted me with two offers, both offers for $1445 (or $1420 with the student discount). It was way more than what I expected. My rep was able to reduce the price by to $1345 (or $1325 with the student discount) so I decided to go with the earliest available carrier, E&V transportation, for 8/9 in the evening, after 6pm. On 8/9, I waited all afternoon for a call from the driver to schedule a more specific time for the pickup. It was not until about 5pm when I called my rep to get in contact with the driver. When my rep got back to me, he told me they had cancelled the pickup for that night without even informing me! I wasted my time waiting for them. I was given the option for morning pickup (from 9-11am) on 8/10. Again, I waited for their call and they did not show up for pickup again! Finally, my rep was able to schedule another pickup from them between 4-6pm. They were a little late, but at least they showed up this time. I wasted a lot of time waiting for E&V Transportation. They were horrible with communication. I cannot blame Amerifreight for this, but they should reconsider using them for future services. My car got to CA on 8/20, 10 days after pickup. The car was very dirty, with significant scratches that were not there before, but overall, no major damages. Nothing was taken from the car. I hope this review was helpful.
