Rate of the shipment was bidded to be around $895, ended up at $1250. AmeriFreight is rated very highly, but the bid was over $300 off of the driver market. Even though all the brokers explain that the bid is only an offer to drivers, they were substantially off the mark. AND I had the luxury of flexible dates. I would consider using AmeriFreight again, but with my eyes wide open about the price.
