My experience with AmeriFreight was good eventhough everything did not go as I had initially thought. This was my first time shipping a car and I didnt know that car transport worked on an auction based transaction. Basically the more you pay for the transport the more likely you are to get a driver who will pick up your car. Since I initially chose the least expensive offer it took a while for a me to get a driver and I eventually had to pay an extra $100 to make my offer more attracting and get a driver. This was a learning experience for me and overall though it took longer than I initially thought because of my initial low offer, I got my car in good shape and I'm happy :) So my advice to everyone about to ship their car is due to unforseen circumstances such as waiting for a driver to pickup your car, weather, traffic, etc. make plans for getting a rental before you leave and get a rental on travel webpages such as hotwire, etc. because you can get great deals on them:)
