I chose Amerifreight to ship my vehicle (which is a 43 year old 1970 K5 Blazer that runs and drives well) because I liked the fact that it went out on bid (economy shipping) and I had the choice of accepting or refusing the bidding carriers price which carriers rightfully try to negotiate due to time of year and fuel prices. Having said that I originally planned to ship this vehicle right after Thanksgiving but due to a change in my plans I had to postpone the shipping. Once my plans where set in stone I called Amerifreight back and I had a carrier ASAP. Now I was shipping the vehicle 4 days before Christmas and it still arived 2 days after Christmas. It was picked up on Saturday and delivered on Thursday. Before it was picked up the carrier called to notify me that his two trucks coming to Colorado got delayed in a blizzard going thru Kansas and I sympathize as I have driven thru Kansas a couple of times during the winter and it is no fun! So since they had lost a day the carrier called to ask if I could meet the trucks at one of their pick up points and he offered a discount on my shipping rate. It was close by and I agreed and everything went fine. My vehicle actually showed up one day sooner than I expected so all in all it was a pleasant experience. I would reccomend Amerifreight and use them again when the need arises. Thanks again Amerifreight!
