On the original scheduled pick-up date, I waited and received no contact with the carrier or the broker about what time the carrier would be there to pick up my vehicle. I eventually just called the carrier myself toward the start of the evening and was told that he wasnt the one picking up my car and that I would have to call the broker. Confused , I called the broker and they knew nothing of why the carrier would not be picking up my car and told me they would call me back. After a couple hours of not hearing from the broker, I called them again myself and was informed that the carrier had mechanical troubles and that they would have to find someone else to transport my vehicle. An hour later I got a call from the broker saying they had found someone, but it wouldn't be picked up for at least another day and would cost me an extra $100. After I refused to pay extra, because they had messed up, I ended the phone call on the note that they would keep looking for a carrier for the original agreed price, but it wouldn't be picked up for possibly another 4 days. An hour later the broker called back and explained that they would be paying the extra $100, and the car would probably get picked up the next day. The car was in fact picked up the following day but was delivered 2 days late. Overall the business transaction was acceptable, I wish there had been better communication between the broker and the carrier to myself.
