Solid performance but poor communication

My contact through AmeriFreight was Jeff. He coordinated setting up my vehicle delivery from Nevada to Florida. He was able to get a great price and set things up in a prompt and courteous manner. He was thorough during the initial process. I did not hear from him at any time to check on how things went with the completed delivery other than to ask for a completed survey.
The company chosen was Best Trucking LLC. They picked up the car in a timely manner. I was told it would be an open truck but was pleasantly surprised as it was actually enclosed. The driver (not sure of his name) was very nice and reassuring that the delivery would go smoothly.
The contact person at Best Trucking was the dispatcher Fabiola Andrade. She was very nice but there were definitely communication problems. Every time I called to discuss the status of my delivery I would be put on hold or told by Fabiola that she would call back 'in a few minutes'. Quite often that turned into hours and I would eventually call back after being tired of waiting. The driver had told me the car would probably be delivered a couple days early. I was driving another vehicle myself to Florida and therefore had arranged for family members to take delivery of my vehicle. I had to coordinate schedules to make sure someone was there to take delivery and therefore needed to be kept abreast of the timing of the delivery. I was told by Fabiola that the driver was in Georiga and would be getting to Florida the next day. She advised that she would call back within the hour to let me know an estimated delivery time. I stressed how important that contact was in order for me to coordinate delivery on my end. Well there was no call back until over 5 hours later even after I called and left messages.
These are just a couple examples of the constant issues with communication from Best Trucking. Constantly being told to expect an imminent call back and having it be several hours later or hearing nothing until I would up calling back was very frustrating.
In the end the delivery was timely and the timing was worked out in a satisfactory manner. Things could have been made much easier however by better communication from Fabiola at Best Trucking.
