Great service despite a couple glitches

I sought out Amerifreight because of their good ratings on TransportReviews.com, and I would use them again. Jasmine was able to secure two potential carriers, both at very fair prices, while we were on the phone discussing final contract details. Because of failure to communicate internally within Amerifreight later that day, we lost the most desirable carrier. However, that was not a fatal flaw. Jasmine and Shireen managed to get the other carrier, who could pick up the car the next day (which was also OK). This carrier, as the other one, had nearly 100 percent ratings. The pick-up was from the home of my elderly parents and was several hours late. This was inconvenient because they are not mobile and had to arrange for different people to be there with them for the pick-up. The second glitch was that the pick-up was on a Saturday afternoon (became evening) in CA, and I could not reach either Amerifreight or the carrier as the hours during the pick-up window dragged on and then passed. Everything was great after the truck arrived and got the car, but I was a bit disappointed that neither Amerifreight nor the carrier called on Monday in response to messages left on Saturday, just to close the loop in the interest of good customer service. My own lessons from this experience are that I would use Amerifreight again but would do my part to be more sure that their internal communications worked; I would probably not schedule a weekend pick-up in the future, unless I could be sure of 24/7 telephone coverage for Amerifreight and/or the carrier, neither of which appeared to be in place last weekend.
