The original price quote was less than $1,000. I put my deposit down two months early with that quoted price. After a month with no carrier interested in my shipment, I had to add money to try and generate interest. After another two weeks, I had to add money once again. A day after adding money a second time, they had locked on a carrier for my shipment. This was my first time shipping a vehicle and the increases in price were unexpected. It would have helped if that possibility was explicitly explained before placing your deposit and a general description of how the company goes about locking on a carrier for you would have been helpful as well.
