First of all, in their ad hype they state that a deposit won't be charged until a truck is actually enroute to pick up your vehicle, and also they told me verbally that the deposit would be less than $100. WRONG!! They charged my account $125,00 the next day, almost two weeks before it was actually picked up!
Secondly, after getting an original quote of $675.00, I emailed them back that my car was 10 feet long and weighed only 1400 pounds and that I thought that $500 would be a fair price. Ralph left a message on my voice mail that they could do it for that price. When I called him back, I asked him at least twice if that was the total price and he assured me it was. I guess one mistake I made (besides choosing the wrong carrier!) was to let my eagerness show to get my new toy. After about a week of nothing happening I called and finally got the ball rolling. The next day a lady (Ms Abrams I believe) called from All American and said they thought they had a driver lined up for it but there would be a fuel surcharge addition of $125! I told her that Ralph had assured me that the $500 quote was the total price. She said that Ralph did not have to deal with the drivers! I told her that I also work for a trucking company that charges a fuel surcharge but we quote it on the front end, NOT as a last-minute surprise. She then let me know that it was $625 or nothing! I told her I would pay it but under protest. She didn't seem to care at all. What a deceitful and dishonest way to do business!
My Mini also has a dented rear bumper now!
