We do not know the exact shipping order Karen is referring to, and do not know the specifics surrounding this order since Stephen Myers is no longer employed by All America Auto Transport. As a company we give our customers all of their options, and tell them the truth about the status of their shipment with our company. It is stressfully when you are moving, and we try to make the car transport portion go as smoothly as possible by being upfront and honest. If Stephen failed to give this customer adequate information on pick up and delivery times, we do apologize. He does not represent the level of service that our company seeks to provide to our customers.
It is also possible that this car was running behind due a possible delay with other deliveries on the truck or from a break down. If this were the case, we would inform the customers about such a situation. If the car is excessively late, we will send out a delay claim letter to the customer to seek compensation from the carrier. Most carriers are willing to work with the customer by adjusting the price as they want to keep the broker and the customer happy.
We ship 800 to 1000 cars a month and most of them do arrive during the 8 to 14 day transport window. There is an exception occasionally when a truck breaks down or other customers aren't available for deliveries and it affects other customers. The most important thing for us is to inform the customer.
