This was my first time shipping a car. From others, it appeared that shipping a car would be a hassle. I had done lots of research and contacted many different companies. I am fortunate to have chosen AAA Transport. In retrospect, here are the things that I think AAA Transport did well:
1) Instant price quote WITHOUT changing the price after calling to confirm/set up: other companies had given me a quote, and after calling raised the quote to be about $400-500 more!
2) Excellent contact via email: Mike, the person who had quoted me emailed me with updates along the way. He also gave me the contact information of the actual carrier who was to pick up and deliver my car.
3) Carrier is good: Able to set up a date to pick up car. I was out of state already so my friend was to meet the carrier. He told me the carrier had contacted him over the phone to set up a time and place to pick up the car. Overall process, according to my friend was smooth.
4) Updates from the carrier: Gave me a 3 day window for drop off, I told them I could only do 2/3 days, and they agreed to drop off on a specific day. He called me about 1 hour before drop off to confirm that I would be there. I was concerned about how they would find a place to drop off the car since I live in a busy city, but they were very flexible and actually ended up dropping off my car on a major street without problems. The guy who dropped off my car was very polite.
5) Car arrived in good condition. No damage, just some dead bugs on the windshield.
Overall, I would definitely choose AAA Transport to transport my car again. They definitely took the stress out of transporting a car. Thanks guys.
