We quoted this customer for a running car and lined up a carrier as such. They went over to pickup the vehicle and found out that it did not run.
However the carrier took it under the assumption they would be compensation by the customer for the inoperable fee as it is clearly stated in our contract. However when they arrived she refused to pay the inoperable fee and the carrier looked to us to pay the fee. We were unable to do this as we had quoted a running vehicle.
They loaded it within 2 to 3 days and delivered it within 4 to 7 days.
The customer was able to move their inoperable vehicle for far less than any other company would have been able to.
In the end the carrier lost out.
