This company is as unethical and as fraudulent as they come. I'm just glad that I found this auto-transport website 1 day before they were supposed to have my dream car transported.
After reading this message board and investigating this company, I decided to cancel my order. Now they will not give back my entire deposit. Come to find out, they purposely backdate your contract process date by 1 day so they can claim that your 48 hrs have passed (you are supposed to get a full refund on your $200 deposit if you cancel within 48 hrs). They must be complete idiots to do this because the official date of the credit card transaction is clearly documented with the credit card company. I am disputing their claim with my credit card company and plan to get my entire deposit back.
Second, after I had already cancelled my order, they tried to send a carrier to pick up my car anyway. The original carrier could not pick up my vehicle when ALS promised so they tried to have some local carrier take my vehicle to a tow yard in Maryland just to create the impression that my vehicle had been picked up and was in transit to Texas. I have a copy of the change request form (which I never authorized) which was faxed by ALS to the original scheduled carrier to pick up my car at a later date. When I confronted ALS about this, they said "you should not be talking to our carriers anyway." When I asked them what they thought they were doing and again stated that I had already cancelled my order, they acted like they didn't hear me and said "what are you talking about?, we've already sent a truck to pick up your car."
They make pick up & delivery promises that carriers can't keep and then take your vehicle to holding terminals (scrap yards, tow yards, junkyards, etc...) to justify their claims. Basically, in my situation, they were trying to force their services upon me even though I had already cancelled the order.
When you call this company, you normally get hung up on or are immediately placed on hold when you do get through. This company is full of lies and deceptive business practices. I bet there are 4 or 5 people working for this company who sit in some little, fly-by-night, rented office space in Miami, FL dreaming up ways to rip off customers. Unfortunately, many new customers will probably never find this website and will continue to get ripped off by these people.
In conclusion, please stay as far away from this company as possible and do not use their services for your own sake. Oh, and by the way, they told me that they owned 100 of their own trucks... another blatant lie!
