Not sticking to their agreement

I chose Agape even though their quote was higher than other companies because they stated that they were a Christian ageny. I liked that because I thought they would be honest. I worked with Kelly over several weeks and she was extremely friendly and very helpful.
She sent me several quotes (one being wrong- had the wrong state), but that was fine.
Finally, when I knew that the transport was going to take place, I called Kelly again and she gave me the quote of $620. It took me several days to confirm the pick from the gentleman who was holding my car. I got a final notice email from Agape stating "this is the final day to confirm transport of vehicle with this quote." I called 2 1/2 hours later to confirm the dates, and put my deposit down. However, within those few hours the quote jumped up $60 to $680. I questioned the worker (not Kelly) and she said, this is the price.
I emailed Kelly back because I was very upset. How can you quote something, get an email and within a few hours not hold to your word? I never got a response. Because I was desperate to get my car up here, I kept the contract, but it made me a bit nervous about whether they woudl follow through with the other agreements.
But the story getes worse. Everything they said they were going to do to make this a smooth transfer NEVER happened. They NEVER called the home of where the car was picked up. Thank goodness this busy man was there.
I took off work the day of delivery because it was to be here in the morning.. and they said they would call me if it got delayed. By twelve noon... no call. I called the transport company and they told me they were running late... yeah thanks for calling. I called back at 4:00 pm, and they were still running late. The mechanic who was receiving the car called the driver to ask if he could call 1/2 hour out, so he could give better driving instructions than gps, as he knew it would take him a wrong turn... he agreed to do so... He never did, and got lost... We had to call him again and give him the instructions.
He was suppose to arrive in the AM, and finally pulled in after 6pm. I understand that things happen, but the complaint is NO PHONE CALLS, etc. NOTHING they promised happened. Thank goodness, the car is here and to be honest, I was starting to wonder. Unfortunately, I missed a day of work for nothing.
I'm very disappointed that a company who claims to be a Christian company does not follow through on their promises. I am especially upset that they never had the integrity to contact me back after their quote jumped $60 dollars... It's a shame. I would suggest they change their name.

First, we would like to apologize on behalf of the driver for not communicating as he should have. Unfortunately, we have no control over the communication skills, or lack thereof, the driver has. We had never had any complaints on this carrier before, but we will be addressing this with the drivers employers! Because it is unacceptable that a driver would not keep in contact with the customers. - Second, Mr. Daniel Summers is not being forthcoming as to why the quote changed. It was explained to Mr. Summers there were 2 reasons his quote increased. Reason 1, when he requested the quote online he put Louisiana as the pickup state instead of Florida; reason 2, his quote was about 3 weeks old. We can guarantee the quotes for 10 days. But the biggest issue was that he had submitted incorrect information when requesting a quote; therefore, the quote had to be adjusted. - Mr. Summers vehicle was picked up on the day it was scheduled to be picked up, March 29th and it was delivered the day it was scheduled to be delivered, April 1st. We do tell all customers that the dates are estimated because the drivers can run into unavoidable delays. In this case it seems the driver did run into delays on delivery, however, he should have called and we are very sorry for the inconvenience this caused. - Finally, the driver not calling and the quote needing to change because of incorrect information and being outdated DOES NOT have anything to do with a person or company claiming to be Christian. Those comments could not be more judgmental and inappropriate.
