My daughter moved to California from New Jersey to study for her PHD. She did not bring her car at first, but in typical fashion, when she decided she needed it.. she wanted it immediately. I called a few places, got quotes which differed by as much as $300 dollars. Only Agate spent the time to talk to me and teach me what to look for and what to ask. Like, if door to door service, make sure they pick up your car with the truck that will carry it. Some companies use tow trucks and change the carrier along the way.
I called on a Thursday and Agate said they could pick it up as soon as Monday. They teamed me up with Courtesy Auto Transport. The driver called me Saturday and said he could take it that night but if I were not ready he could wait too. I drove the car about 3 blocks only because the carrier could not fit into my development. Off it went with an estimate of delivery the next Sunday. On Friday, my daughter got a call (from the same driver) that the car was outside her development.
6 days travel. 8 days from the first phone call. No damage what-so-ever. Not a scratch. Not dirty. It is IMPOSSIBLE to think of anyway the move could have gone smoother.
