My husband and I finally found a completely original 1994 Maxda RX-7 online that is in perfect condition. There were a couple of issues though that could have made the transporting of the car a complete nightmare. 1.) The car was located in Durango, CO, which is not so easy to get to therefore there are less carriers available. 2.) The seller of the car had a very tight window in which he was available to meet with the transportation company so we were pressed for time. Most transportation companies cannot guarantee an exact pick-up date so we were concerned that the seller would have to leave town before the transportation company was able to secure a carrier. 3.) It was the week before Thanksgiving so there was the possibility that the car would get picked up in time but may not make it to us before Thanksgiving since naturally the driver would want to be with his/her family. Therefore, our car may have been sitting on a truck somewhere for a few days. Needless to say, with all the above, we were a bit anxious!! We decided to go with Agape because of the favorable reviews on this site. I informed them that we had a very tight window and they said they would do their best to secure a carrier within that time frame. Not only were they able to find a carrier, the carrier arrived a day early, which worked out better for both the seller and us. Agape informed me that Baker Transport out of GA would be the carrier and gave me their contact information. I called Baker two days after the car was picked up and they gave me the driver’s cell phone number and said I could call him at any time to get an update on the delivery on our car. The drivers, Charlie Smith and his wife, were WONDERFUL! He gave me all the information I needed and also even more detailed information on the car itself (we had never seen it in person). He was very honest with where he was heading first and what delays he may encounter (since he was delivering two cars at the port in Jacksonville, FL). He called me several times to update me on where he was and an estimated date of delivery and then again when he was about 100 miles away. My husband and I couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience.
