Did not fulfil contract and has not refunded deposit!

I signed a contract with AUSA Logistic on June 4, 2011 and gave them a $350 deposit to transport my Toyota 4Runner from California to South Carolina.

I requested and was given a pick-up of June 22/23. I rented a car in ancipation of being without one as I was leaving the state (to move across the country) on the 27th of June. No pick-up on the 22nd.

When the driver did not contact me on the 22nd about pick-up I called the company and was told that the would call me back in an hour (never called) and then that the driver would call me directly (never called). By mid-morning of the 23rd I called to ask about status and was given the same story for the next 3 days.

When I became frustrated by their lack of cooperation and asked for a refund, I was told by the company that the scheduled pick-up date was not a "set" date and that they had up to 14 business days from the "scheduled date" to pick up the car and to look at my contract. If I wanted a refund I would only get $100 and they would keep $250 and that I could again look at my contract.

I transferred my car to a local friend to give them their 14 business days. My emails and calls went unreturned or I was given the run around for the entire contractual time. At the end of the contracted time, I emailed the company (put it in writing, which was a requirement per the contract) asking for my refund of $350.

As of this date, September 22, 2011 I have yet to receive the $350 refund. I have been told no less than 5 times that the check is in the mail.

This is beyond bad customer service...it is borderline criminal.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
