WORST NIGHTMARE EVER! TOTAL SCAM, DON'T USE THEM. We moved from Vancouver BC, to Toronto ON and had the car shipped by ABR. We were told it'll take 2 weeks max. ABR asked us to drop the car at a yard in Delta BC on Dec. 16th 2010 saying it will be delivered by Jan 01, 2011. So we put all the heavy winter clothes we needed for Toronto's winter weather and our baby's stroller and baby's car seat in the car and thought we will get the car a few days after we arrive in Toronto. Alas!!!
First we were told visa payments are ok, then it changed to money order in the last minute, then all of a sudden our phone calls and emails were never returned, for 3 weeks ( first we gave them the benefit of doubt thinking it's because of Xmas and new year time and the bad winter) In the meantime we're house bounWORST NIGHTMARE EVER! First we were told visa payments are ok, then it changed to money order in the last minute, (so we can't stop it) then all of a sudden our phone calls and emails were never returned, for 3 weeks ( first we gave them the benefit of doubt thinking it's because of Xmas and new year time and the bad winter) In the meantime we're house bound in toronto with no warm clothes and no stroller for the baby!! After threatening them in an email that we'll go to the police, that rude woman Natalie finally contacted us and said the car hasn't even been picked up from Vancouver (this is Jan 15th) and it'll be picked up soon and delivered in 3 weeks (originally promised 2 weeks) then we contacted the yard in BC, they said it's Canadian fleet services that does the actual moving, so we contacted them. CFS said they've had it with ABR and that ABR has done this in the past where ABR get CFS to move the car and then won't pay them so now they won't touch the car until they're paid. So it took us a whole bunch of threatening them with police reports and such before ABR paid CFS to move the car and we finally got it by the end of Feb. 2011 after being practically house bound with a toddler for 2 months in Toronto.
CFS wasn't much better either, After they finally confirmed they were paid by ABR, at the beginning of each week they'd tell us we were definitely going to get the cat by the end of the week, then they wouldn't answer us for the whole week as to where the car was and then they'd say sorry on Friday and promised it's definitely coming on Monday and then they repeated the whole loop on Monday again for a whole month.
In the end the car arrived in Toronto by the end of Feb. 2011. We had paid for delivery at home here but CFS advised us to pick it up immediately in some place 2 hourse drive out of Toronto so that ABR doesn't get a hold of the car again. I'm sure they'd have taken it hostage again for more money or something or will drag it for another month to deliver it. ABR said they'd refund us the $115 for the delivery, but of course our phone calls and emails were never answered after that. I have never had such a horrible and frustrating experience with any business, We were really losing hope that we'll ever get our car back, specially after reading the reviews online and realizing people were in court with ABR for months and hadn't gotten their car back yet!! d in toronto with no warm clothes and no stroller for the baby!!
