After looking at BB reports, I decided on United Transport due to all of the positive comments. My first contact with Arvin was very positive. My car is a long-wheelbase car, and he listened and acted favorably upon my explanation. Although the price was not the very lowest of the 8 quotes I received prior to deciding, I was most impressed with his answers to my questions regarding, protection, timing, and communication at both ends of the route. Once I decided, he e-mailed me a very understandable set of instructions and the order in which to follow them to complete my order.
He or someone in his absence was always available by phone with any questions I had in filling out the on-line form he sent me. I was advised when the car was picked up, and then called by the very nice truck driver, Matt, when he was enroute about 24 hrs before delivery. Matt was familiar with the area here in Oregon and we decided together over the exact street on which to unload. He explained that there were other cars in the truck, and that he needed a sufficient space in which to park them in order to unload my car. We kept in touch by cell phone, and he was there
exactly when he said he would be. He was very careful backing the car out and gave me all the time I needed to inspect for any damage, etc. He also had all the paperwork that went with the car that was supplied by the sellers. When it came time to pay, there were no 'hidden or extra' charges. I have already recommended United to a friend of mine in the midwest. I couldn't be more pleased...5 star rating as far as I'm concerned!
