Job was done, just took a long time

I hired AA-Automovers while I was going through some trouble with Express Auto Transport. EAT couldn't find a driver for my order, and I needed the car picked up before I left for Austin TX on Friday 2/16. So I cancelled on EAT and called AA Automovers. AA-A told me over the phone that they can guarantee pick up that week, so I had to jump on it.

I told AA-A I absolutely need the car picked up before Friday 2/16 and need it in TX before Monday 2/26, they said it may even be possible for pick up on Tuesday 2/13. Tuesday came and went with no contact. Unfortunately Wed. 2/14 was the day of the nasty ice storm in the Northeast, so no one was going anywhere.

The trucker called me 2/15 saying he'll be there the next afternoon. I told him I would be out of the state by then, apparently he was never told by AA-A that I needed an early pick up. Fortunately I arranged pick up with my neighbor, and I was told to expect the car within 4-5 days later. The car never even left the Northeast within 4 days. The truck driver contacted me around 10 am on Monday 2/26 (my first day on a new job) telling me he'd arrive in Austin at noon.

Overall, I think AA-A could have been more honest about pick-up (and not lure someone into believing in a same-day pick-up), and they should have been more honest about how long delivery would take. Likewise, they should have really communicated better with the truck companies; the trucker told me that had he known about my leaving date he would have given me higher priority. But anyway the job was done.
