This is a crummy industry and AA-Automevers proved to be just as bad as everyone else. They initially told me they used there own trucks which is what I wanted. Then they farmed it out to one of their "pre-screened" 5000 carriers who limped across the country with his busted (as in missing body parts) pick-up and trailer which broke down in Texas and kept overheating in CA. The driver actually called me and told me he was outta money and wouldn't make it unless I could wire him some of his fee en route. The time of 12 days was only really a problem because the driver kept calling me and to say he'd be there the next day and did this for 7 days. There's more but you get the idea. Anyway, AA Automovers felt that this wasn't their problem as they had fulfilled their responsibility to arrange a driver, which they did. They assured me they wont use this driver again but this does little to make me feel better about the $275 fee they collect for having 'brokered' my transport. Shouldn't the point of using a broker be to avoid head aches? Would I be less irritated if they refunded my fee? You bet. Bottom line, I'd recommend going with a company that has their own trucks & drivers.
