While I do appreciate honest feedback, I don’t feel yours is completely honest.
The delivery date was not late. My email to you states the car would be delivered on 09/11. Seeing how this review was left on 09/11, the delivery could not be late. I would like to point out that I did say in our original email exchange prior to setting up this transport that I could not guarantee a delivery time as there are too many variables outside my control. It appears the vehicle did arrive on the scheduled date however.
Your complaint that the car was PICKED UP late, which it was, and for that I apologize. It was a holiday weekend (Labor Day) and the carrier should have been in better communication with both you and me about being late. I have a clause in my contracts with ALL drivers that they call me (A2B) right away should they encounter any delays so that I can advise the customer. This did not happen, and again I am sorry for that. I accept 100% responsibility for that.
You stated to me in your initial email that your MAIN concern was the delivery of your vehicle. Your email states: “Based on that schedule, could you guarantee delivery by Tuesday, September 19th? I'm going out of town on Wednesday the 20th, and I want to be sure that the car makes it here before then.” My understanding was the pick up was not as crucial as the car was sitting at your folk’s home not being used. The delivery deadline was met.
As for the picking up and the dropping off of ANY vehicle, I will USUALLY explain that this is a door-to-door service provided the truck can fit and/or access your street. If there are low hanging trees or the street is inaccessible with a semi-truck, then a close-by location such as a supermarket or a Lowes or somewhere conducive to large trucks will need to suffice. This is not uncommon in the car transport industry. However, most of our communication was done via email and this did not make it into the conversation.
I don’t think “each thing I was promised turned out to be incorrect” is a very accurate statement. The price quoted WAS the price charged. No change to that. You requested the vehicle be picked up by Tuesday, September 5th. It was picked up the 6th. 1 day late per your email. You needed the car delivered by Tuesday, September 19th. It was delivered on Monday the 11th.
While I understand the frustration and lack of communication by the carrier, I don’t feel this warrants a 1 star review. Your vehicle was picked up late and you had to meet the driver because the truck would not fit on your street. The communication could have been better (I completely agree), the size of the truck and streets are out of my wheelhouse of control. Your vehicle DID arrive ahead of what you requested.
Lastly, do you really think leaving a 1 star review on 2 different websites was warranted? The car was picked up late and the dispatcher at ZEN (carrier company) was perceived as being “rude” (as I was not privy to that conversation and have no way of verifying its veracity) however, your vehicle did arrive in the prescribed timeframe, you were charged exactly the amount quoted, and the vehicle was delivered SAFELY (most would consider that paramount).
