Horrible experience

I will never use A2B Transport again and certainly will not recommend it to others. Customer service was poor. Communication was extremely poor.

I scheduled a pick up a week in advance for 6/27. They did not show up until 7/9. During that time I was either left to hang out to dry or given the run around about the delay. I incurred many additional expenses as a result that I did not anticipate, i.e. rescheduled flights, car rental, etc.

Even before I made the reservation I was very clear that I would exceed the 100lb weight limit. My contact said that would be no problem. At the time of confirmation I reiterated again that I've exceeded the weight limit. He said that should be no problem and would inform the driver. It turns out the driver said it would be an additional $250 to $350 charge. At no time did my contact ever mention anything about extra fees. I had to pay the driver additional cash for his troubles.

Furthmore I did not receive a receipt until about 3 hours before the driver showed up. I found out only on the invoice that it was COD. I had no idea. At no time in all my corresponence with the contact did he ever mention COD. It was EXTREMELY difficult to get that kind of cash in such short notice at that late hour especially because I am brand new to the area.

My whole experience was just horrible from start to finish. Had I known A2B was just a broker, I would have gone direct to the source.

Yes, it was difficult to locate a truck along Mr. Thein's route. I had originally told him 5-7 days for pick up, but it took 10 with a holiday in there. This is the email sent to Mr. Thein prior to his vehicle even being loaded on to a truck: Hi Minn, We've dispatched your transport to the following carrier: XXXXX The contact's name there is: George His contact number is: XXXXXXXXX The pick up date is: 07/08 The delivery date is: 07/13 or sooner Your credit card will be charged the initial amount of $98.00 once the vehicle has been loaded. The remaining balance of $1000.00 (pending the extra weight) you will pay directly to the driver at the time of delivery in cash or a cashier's check. If you are using a cashier's check, please make it payable to the company listed above. Please call me if you have any questions. THIS CLEARLY OUTLINES WHAT IS EXPECTED AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY (LESS WHATEVER $$ IS OWED FOR THE EXTRA WEIGHT HE ADDED TO THE VEHICLE). I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT WE DO NOT COMPENSATE FOR REVIEWS. COMPANIES THAT DO THAT ONLY CHARGE THE CUSTOMER MORE IN ORDER TO GIVE THEM BACK THEIR OWN MONEY.
