My husband and I were shipping out a car from California to Michigan. I received several estimates, and A1, was by far the cheapest -- they were $100 less then the other estimates. We went on line to read reviews and found that people either had a REALLY good experience or they had a REALLY bad experience. We decided that it was worth the gamble. The person we spoke to at A1 was great. We waited about a 3 1/2 weeks to book the car after we received the estimate. We were charged a 7% refueling fee (Gas prices went way up during that time). This was not surprising since all the other companies were doing the same and they still came under any of the other quotes. My husband booked the car on Thursday. They called us right back and said they had secured a company to pick up our car that Sunday (only 2 to 3 days waiting ... not bad). The person who picked up the car was very professional. We lucked out in that I don't think our car switched trucks. We just received our car (it is Friday of the same week ... only 5 days of transport). We didn't have any damage to our car. From booking to receiving the car, it was only 8 days.
