My wife initially received a quote, and based on their FAQ of 2-3 weeks delivery time decided to order through them on 3/3. Despite their terms which states a $200 deposit, they took the entire cost out of our credit card the next day. Not a big problem, we figured. The next day, we decided that it may be better to have the car delivered to a different location, but only if we can get it by a certain time. When we asked, they said they would try their best, and would call us the next morning whether that would be possible. Next day, no call, so my wife calls them in the afternoon and they say they are still trying. If they would have said no in the first place, we would have stuck with our initial destination. Come 3/7, we decide after 4 days of them telling us maybe, that we will just deliver to our original location.
They again promise to call the next morning (3/8) to give an estimate of the pickup date, but again there is no call. I e-mail on the status, that afternoon, and by afternoon of 3/10, still no response. So, 7 days after payment, no pickup in sight. So I call my credit card company to get a refund on 3/11, and lo and behold, the next day they call to let me know that they will be picking up my car. Since we were faced with having to find another mover, I call them and we settle on them continuing with the service. They pick up the car on 3/13, with an estimated departure of 3/19. Why they needed to have the car 6 days in advance, I don’t know, but the estimated arrival was 3/25, so I figured it would be quicker than trying to get a new service.
Fast forward to 3/19, and when I check online for status, the departure date has been moved back to 3/25, with arrival date of 3/31! For some reason, 16 days after the original contract, they had to push back another 6 days! WTF? So now, I am “supposedly” going to receive my car 28 days after the date of order, and I have NO IDEA what the status is. They will not provide me with the driver’s contact info, which is a common practice. As of today (3/26), I do not know where the car is, whether it is going to arrive by 3/31, and no idea how to even find out.
Talking to their customer service has been a colossal headache, as they have been uncooperative with an attitude of “it’ll get there when it gets there”. On their website, they emphasize customer service, quality service, and fleet of 25 company-owned trucks. I received NONE of those things, including any one of the supposed fleet of trucks they owned to deliver my car. How can a company that OWN 25 of their own trucks NOT deliver a car for 28 days? From what I understand, a car move usually takes 2-3 weeks, with typical time being about 15 days from order to delivery. We had our other car delivered where we placed the order on 3/8 and received our vehicle at destination on 3/16. 8 days is very fast I realize, but there should not be that big of a gap between two companies providing the same service. Not only will I never recommend this company to anyone, I am inclined to actively discourage anyone from using them.
