More Expensive but Excellent Choice

I had to move my car from L.A. to Indiana as soon as possible and had a reservation with Able Auto Transport for $900. They are a horrible company, they lie to you, tell you that your car will be picked up in 1-5 days and then it simply doesn't happen. 2 weeks later, my car was still sititng in California and Able Auto hadn't called me once to give me any news, advice, or even just a friendly courtesy call to tell me they were still looking for a carrier. They were short and rude on the phone and kept telling me that it was a busy time to be shipping cars and that they'd call me when they had a carrier for me. Finally, my frustration got the better of me and I called 3 or 4 other companies. I didn't know anything about 5 star nationwide but I talked to Gilbert on the phone. At first he told me a price was almost 200 dollars more than Able Auto and seemed very confident in telling me how the shipping process worked. While I appreciated his honesty and directness, I thought he was just like any salesman, throwing his pitch and trying to get me to pay more than I should. After several more days of calling around, I realized that Gilbert was the only one actually telling the truth in the whole business. Even before I put the order in with him, he called me to update me on possible carriers leaving the area and stayed in constant contact with me throughout the whole process. He took charge of organizing a carrier, and the car was picked up several days later. While the car took 2 days longer to get to Indiana than the driver told me, I understand that when you move a car 2000 miles, it's hard to give an exact day of delivery. Plus, this part of the process is out of 5 star's control anyway. In the end, the carrier got the car to me in a reasonable amount without damage or theft. 5 star Nationwide is a good company - just check the other reviews - and while they certainly do charge more, they got the job done and having a car quickly was worth the money. I would definitely use them again.
