Big Disappointment

We initially used 4 Corners because Jeff had called me directly, unlike most brokers who just send you an email. Before making a decision, I read their reviews on this site and was quite pleased with the feedback - which is why I feel like it is important to share our interaction with them. We placed the order at the end of November 2012. We had originally given them the window of November 28th and were told it would be picked up within 4 business days. My husband decided he needed to get something fixed before sending his truck all the way across the country so he asked Jeff to push the pick up date back to December 3rd. When the vehicle wasn't picked up the first week, Jeff made it sound like it was our fault for pushing the date back, stating it was ready to go the week before but now he's waiting to hear back from the trucking companies. This is where the "nightmare" began - each week it was a different excuse - the weather, the holidays, etc. He told us he had put his "whole" broker fee up to get the truck moved and he was just waiting to hear back. Then Christmas came around and we were told that he had two carriers interested and it would be picked up no later than the following week. Guess what happened? The following week rolled around and the truck STILL was not picked up. After almost 6 weeks, we finally asked for our money back because we were tired of hearing excuse after excuse. Even when getting our money back, we had to go through another hassle - for some reason, instead of charging the money back to our credit card, we had to wait for a check to arrive due to "accounting issues." Since we are in Alaska and our bank is in New York (hard to open a new bank account when you have no ride!) we had to mail his check off just to ensure it went in our account. We are highly disappointed with 4 corners. Lesson learned though - we will NEVER use another broker. Even though it's costing us a little more to deal directly with a carrier, at least we know our truck will actually get here and we won't have to listen to months worth of excuses from anyone ever again.

Meghan and Aaron- We apologize that your vehicle wasn't picked up from a very difficult location. During the holidays in the NE is a tough time to locate carriers going cross country, they prefer short loads so they can be home for the holidays.Its the most difficult time of every year as we have learned in 8 years of doing this.. We explained this to you and worked diligently to try to get you a carrier. Even forfeiting our own broker fee. During the order period we ran into to major storms in the NE as you recall- Sandy and the follow up storm. That set everything back weeks plus then the holidays. We were frustrated just like you. Your refund was sent out the same day of your cancellation with no questions asked. The check was even sent priority. In regards to the two interested carriers. They were interested in the Tacoma but not with a 6 inch lift which wasn't divulged until after you contracted with us. The vehicle height was to great for the carriers they wer using. This is our 8th year in business and the third negative review we have aver recieved. We take this seriously and believed we did our very best given the circumstanse. We were always responsive, available and truthful to you both. Circumstances just worked against this and I feel bad for you both. Again I aplogize that we could not get this done. We wish you the best of luck in the future. Jeff Update_ The carrier they hired is brokering the load and it still has not moved. They posted it for less money.
