Pleased with company

This was our only experience in having a car shipped, and I wanted to let you know we are very pleased with how 1st Choice treated us.

I want to say thank you for the wonderful service you provided in getting our car shipped to us. We had several issues with the pick up of the car and your company was great in assisting us with getting this matter resolved. I especially want to thank Brandy and Kathy personally for their attention.

I also wanted to advise you that the trucking company that transported our car, Prestige Auto LLC, provided very disappointing service. I realize this is no reflection on 1st Choice, but I thought you’d like to be aware of how the transportation company treated us.

-They picked up the car from South Carolina on Thursday, August 4th.
-When confirmed on Friday, August 5th that the pickup was completed I was advised the car would be delivered on Monday, August 8th.
-I called Prestige Monday morning to get an estimated time of delivery and to arrange a location for the drop off. I was told it should be later that day and the driver would call.
-When I heard nothing, I called again late Monday and was told delivery would be Tuesday, August 9th instead.
-When I heard nothing by mid-day Tuesday, I called and was told it would be a late delivery.
-On Wednesday, August 10th I called in the morning and was told delivery would be within two to three hours – which it finally was.

I understand that drivers can’t predict a specific time of day due to weather, traffic, etc., but it was my understanding that delivery would be on a certain day as promised. I would rather have been told that Wednesday was going to be the delivery day rather than being put off day after day with lies. It also would have been nice in someone would have called to advise of the changes rather than me having to constantly follow up.

Also, each time I spoke with Lana at Prestige I asked, and she confirmed, that the driver would call me when he was about an hour away so we could arrange a delivery location. I told her on ALL six occasions I spoke with her that under NO circumstances was the car to be delivered to my home (it was to be a surprise for my son!). The driver never called and delivered the car to my house as they were specifically instructed NOT to do. I tried asking the driver why he didn’t call and he just shrugged his shoulders.

And lastly, the under-body neon lights (valued at $12)) on the car were shattered during transport. We didn’t have the opportunity to communicate this to the driver because he apparently didn’t speak English. We were unable to check the car thoroughly – the driver just insisted we sign the paper by pointing to it and held his hand out for the money (he could say five-hundred) – and he left right away.

Like I said, I’m not complaining about 1st Choice – you guys were great. I just wanted you to be aware of the practices of Prestige Auto – they lie, they don’t communicate, they don’t follow instruction and they damaged the car. And also, they took away the chance of us seeing our son receive the car we bought for him. Thanks again for all you did, I just wanted you to know that it was appreciated.
