I had to re-locate from LA to New York unexpectedly last month. I needed to be in New York in one week and I didn't want to put 3,000 miles on my 2008 Toyota Corolla. I contacted a number of auto transport companies that could not guarantee that my car could be picked up in time for me to make my flight to New York five days later and at a price I could afford. I finally found a broker, 1-Flat Rate's Ray McGlinchey, a charming Irishman who said he would pick up my car two days before I was scheduled to fly east, and have my car in New York within 7 to 10 days. Ray arranged for my car to be picked up by Corporate Auto Transport, which delivered it without a scratch and no worse for wear, six days later to Manhattan. When a family emergency called me out of town the day after my car was delivered, Corporate Auto's man in New York, a busy but extremely helpful fellow named Mazzy, was kind enough to hold the car in a secure lot for an additional five days - and free of charge - until I could get back to the city and pick up my car.
No money was exchanged until the day I picked it up. Except for a light film of road dust, the car was in exactly the condition it was when I last saw it in LA. After making the 3,000 mile cross country trip, the car didn't even need an oil change.
1-Flat Rate and Corporate Auto Transport made my hurried and potentially stressful move a piece of cake - and an affordable one, at $950 with no hidden costs or added fees. I could not have been happier.
