I needed my 2010 Honda Civic moved from Florida to Georgia. I had a plane to catch in two weeks so I called various companies who said they would beat prices and when I called them they never dropped it down from the lowest price I had so far. So then I stumbled upon 1 Shot Express Transport and they offered 350 and I asked if they would go lower and they went down to $300. Despite all the reviews that said not to go for the lowest price I went for it, hoping they were a serious and reliable company. I had read some reviews saying that they have successfully shipped car before, and others saying that they were a scam and that they delayed the pick up date too much. Joel Diaz quickly took the initial deposit from me and told me to send an email authorizing them to ship my car, I asked various times why do they need that and they said it was in order to send me the paper work and insurance forms and I asked that If I could cancel the order anytime and get my money back and they said yes. After receiving the paperwork I read the terms and it says that by sending an email authorizing 1SET to ship my car I had agreed to all the terms (Which I was not able to read!! And was not informed of !! ). I called everyday to verify that their date before my flight was available to ship my car. I was getting sleep deprived, high blood pressure, and every so often a case of heart attacks. By the paperwork it seemed that there was no way of getting my money back. So I called and said for them to pick up the car two days prior to my flight as a precaution if they were to fail just like I had read in various reviews. 1SET never called me back ever. I also called every day asking them to send me the insurance papers and they said they would send it in 5 minutes, 1 hour, and days passed and I had not gotten those papers. They gave me the phone number of the driver and I had to insist them to give me the driver’s last name. After that the driver, Jim Myers/ AkA Jim Marshall never answered any of my calls, and he had his voicemail full. That Thursday afternoon I waited and I called many times and 1SET said they did not know where their driver was, and then they said that he was still in south Florida (Miami/Ft.Laudadell) and unable to pick it up that day. Whenever I spoke to them they were unprofessional and they put me on hold to many times and for over 30 minutes. It seemed like they wanted to put me on hold until after 6pm so they wouldn't have to talk to me. When they finally got the point that I had a flight to catch, they said they would try to solve the situation and call me back, and as assumed he never did. I tried calling a lot of companies, but they would charge me over 1000 to get my car transported that same day. So my backup plan was to leave it in Florida and to someday return and drive it up to Georgia myself. The next day, Friday, he called me and says that they have a driver from Devine Enterprises Transport, a company that they have worked with before, and that they would get my car. I received a call from Devine Enterprises and he sounded completely confused and uninformed of my situation. Then later he calls me and says that he understands now and that what time would be good for me. So I ask him for his MC number and verified it at http://li-public.fmcsa.dot.gov/LIVIEW/pkg_carrquery.prc_getdetail to see how legit they were and to check that they have insurance. So then they said they would pick it up in an hour, it was 6pm. Then at 7 pm they called me and they said that they weren’t going to pick it up today, that they were coming tomorrow because it would work out better for them. I told them I had to catch a flight at 8am. Then they said they would come today. I waited and at 8pm they said they would come around 10pm. This truck thing was dragging on my entire day, so since this company said they were in Orlando and not Fort Lauderdale, I asked for their location and I drove the car to them. I met up with the manager and we filled up the papers. The manager told me that Devine Enterprises has 3 trucks, and that he had been working in this industry for over 15 years. That fact worried me, but the fact that DE actually responded my called unlike 1SET, calmed me down a tiny bit. Then I asked him to return some money since it was a Door to Door service that was not provided, plus I had to spend waste on gas, the service of driving, and tolls. He returned me $20. After 5 days my car was finally delivered to Georgia. They said they had problems with the truck wheels and had trouble getting the replacement piece. They called me when they had arrived to Georgia, and whenever I called them every day they actually responded my phone calls and told me the status of the transport. I will never in my life have my car transported my truck. In this case I had to because I had already bought my plane tickets and was not expecting to by a car that summer. For all other occasions I will drive it myself and save on stress and medical bills.
