Not sure how they are still in business

So I was trying to have my car shipped from NY-FL. Of course 1-shot said, "NO problem, just give us the 1-2 day window on pick up and around 3-4 days on delivery." This sounded golden for me since I would have another car to use in the meantime. This is where the misery began. My car was supposed to be picked up on the day that hurricane Issac was expected to make landfall in FL. The only issue is FL is 1400 miles from NY and I don't think the truck picking my car up would be affected seeing as though it was in Vermont. When I called I was told that no driver was ever assigned to me. I gave it a couple days to see if the dust would settle after the weather. 4 days later..."Mr. I don't have any new news for you." At this point I was getting aggravated and asked for a refund. I was told they have the "chance" to ship my car up to ten days before I could get a refund. At this point I didn't even want this company to look at my car let alone transport my NEW car that far. After cancelling the service (after the mandatory hold time) I am STILL awaiting a refund for my $150.00 booking fee, and now have booked a flight home to drive my car back since this company clearly isn't competent enough to follow through with their proposed job. STEER CLEAR AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK- I thought I did, but a couple good reviews on this company allowed me to ignore the 100's of bad reviews.

Pros: They will give you the lowest price to lure you in an make it seem like you have chosen the right company- with a call from Jose or some guy from EXT: 124 who I guarantee will NEVER answer your calls.

Cons: Everything else!
-Horrible phone service
-Insurance covers NOTHING in the car
-Unreliable transport (hope you have a month window to get your car- if you're lucky...)
-Overall horrible experience

P.S. Watch out for false reviews- The company has a sly way of putting in GREAT! reviews to trick you.

Dear Dom. To answer your subject question; We are still in business because most customer or most people I should say, know how to read, write and count. Second the fireman's sons don't work here, neither hose-a nor hose-b. There is no Jose here Dom!!!.(I get your little jealousy there) This review is full of hot air Dom. We are governed by the U.S.D.O.T and so are the carriers, the carriers must be insured to be licensed and they carry a $50,000 per vehicle. Now this is serious Dom and it really hurts, how can you tell the good reviews from the false reviews? Well this will give you a clue, you double posted because you wanted to write a diary but you can't on this site, just one review per customer and they use state of the art software to catch cheaters so, no we can't cheat. I will recommend a way, call all the customers good and bad and ask them, you mean to tell me that the dozen good fresh reviews just before yours are false? We have 4 out of 5 stars, don't you think we could have gone for that fifth star? We have approx, 230 reviews in three yrs. about 30 negative and 200 positive and that will do it for us but, going back to the fireman's sons, PANTS ON FIRE DOM. Thank you.
