Ok..So this review is for those people who in spite of seeing multiple reviews get confused which carrier to choose. I was in fact part of that population of people that would go over web and look in for multiple look for positive and negative reviews and start analysing it. If you want to know the truth, actually there is no carrier who has 100% positive reviews. So anyways you have to take the risk. So this is what it happened. I placed a request for a quote from Salt Lake City to Florida and I got a quote of $925 from American Auto Transport for my sedan. This would involve $125 as broker fee and $800 to be paid as cash to the driver. In spite of having lower quotes from other carriers I thought of taking a risk with this carrier and went ahead and placed the order. Once I did it, they wanted me to confirm the booking by filling up the source and destination details; as well as my credit card details. So i provided all of these. I was being talking from Angela McKee from AAT from the very beginning. Now what happened that I put a request to have my car ready at a certain date which was neither too early or near to my flying date to Florida. Once I placed a request, I was told that I would be getting a call from AAT Customer Care that a driver is assigned and that the broker fee of $125 will be deducted. What happened that AAT placed a charge on my Credit Card before I got notified? After seeing this, when I called Angelina multiple times, she did not pick up the call. Being seeing no choice I tried customer care but my call was not received and not answered. Frustrated, I kept on trying. At the end somehow the call was picked up by Angela and she said that the driver has been assigned for a pickup and I was sent an email which eventually when I checked it was in the spam folder. When I asked her, why I did not got a call, she said talk to customer care. Upon transferring the call to customer care, I did not got any positive vibes as the Customer Care lady kept on saying that she was about to call me in the afternoon and that I had called before her calling to me. While I was arguing to her, she abruptly kept the phone. I was so frustrated and kept on asking myself that question that why I had gone with this carrier. I called up the AAT customer care again and told them that this is not the way to talk to a customer and it’s the duty of theirs to call and inform. She again started arguing without any reason. Anyways, I was cursing myself on my wrong decision seeing the AAT behaviour. I thought my broker fee of $125 had gone waste and I even started actively following on other quotes I had got. As I was not sure whether the driver would come to pick up my car. So as I was waiting for the AAT assigned driver, I just got a call from the driver himself that he cannot come on the day of the exact pickup day but a day earlier. So I started to wrap up my things early so that I can handover the car. As promised by the driver, he came a day early and picked up my car by early morning. I found the driver quite friendly and nice. He took my car, examined it carefully on any scratches and damages, made me sign the agreement and placed it in the perfect spot. Once done he said that it will take 7 – 10 days for the transport. After that he left. Meanwhile after a few days, I also flew from Salt Lake to Florida. Once I reached Florida I was patiently waiting for my car when I got a call from the driver’s company that the driver will be reaching Florida and I need to keep the cash ready. I took money from ATM and as promised he delivered the car on the said date and timing. I was super excited to see my car come to me as I was using a rental car in between and had got tired of it. Finally once he unloaded the car, I examined it thoroughly I found no scratches and marks. I might have got lucky I thought. Finally I gave the driver his money and he bid adieu. So after this ordeal I thought that taking a risk was worthy enough that everything turned out well for me in the end. I started up with a bitter experience in the first from AAT, but at the end I was happy. So, a word of advice to AAT to improve their Customer Service a bit and their behaviour when talking to customers. And for you people who are seeking which carrier to take, as I said none of them have 100% positive reviews. So the more you research, you would get more confused which to choose. So anyway it’s a gamble and a risk to take. So best of luck my friends on the carrier search!! Hope so that everything turns out good for you too as it did for me.
