I tried for over 2 weeks to work with a competing broker and failed. Low ball quotes, half truths, new offers at much higher prices, etc. But in the end, the driver/truck was always "2-3 days" away. During this process, I received an email from Lola (I had previously asked for quotes from a variety of carriers) indicating that if I was still in need of a carrier, I should contact them. When my drop-dead day came and I still needed a carrier that day, I finally gave up on the other firm, called Lola, and good to her word, a driver picked up the car for transport in less than 6 hours. Yes I paid more than the original low-ball quote of the other broker, but the quote only matters if it turns into a pickup and delivery. Door-to-Door worked perfect for me, just wish I had started there.
