This experience was traumatizing and I hope I never have to ship my car again. If i have to next time I will definitely not use a broker. From beginning to end, the business transaction was a nightmare.

I initially received a quote from Sean to ship my car from Maine to California for $1175. This price stood out from my other quotes so I gave Sean a call. He was very nice on the phone. I gave over a 30 day advance to ship my car and he said that it would not be a problem at all. I realized it would be harder to find a driver coming from Maine but he said it was enough notice that this would not be an issue. I was so happy to hear that he was able to answer all of my questions and reassured me that I would get my car shipped on time with no complications. He then sent over a quote and order form for me to fill out, including providing information regarding my credit card info so I could pay for the 175 deposit. I emailed the form back to him with my personal information but then later found out that I had to pay again through paypal and that he was not going to use my credit card information. Which would have been fine, however, I was a little upset that he didn't tell me earlier so I didn't have to give him my credit card information. He told me he didn't know of the change in policy and that's why he couldn't give me a heads up. Long story short, a month later, my credit card had fraudulent activity on it and it had to be cancelled. Thank god American Express caught the charges before anything happened. I'm not saying it was Sean or the company, but my information was just not protected. I did not use the credit card for any other purchases in between the time I gave him my info to the time I experienced fraudulent activity.

On my order form, I listed May 26 as my first available ship date. Sean called me on May 22 and told me I had a driver for May 24. Well I was not ready and could not ship my car at that time so I could not agree to the driver. After that, I didn't hear from Sean for another 2 weeks, so I had to take initiative and call him to follow up. Turns out, he could not get another driver to come up and this back and forth business played on until JUNE 19th when he called to tell me he had a driver ready for the upcoming sun to pick up my car. Well the catch was, this driver was going to charge 1375, so he would put in 75 and I would have needed to put in the other 1300. So my total out of pocket cost is 1475, not 1175, and Sean's profit would have been $100. Ok, so I was impatient about the delay in my car transportation and I also wanted to take partial responsibility for the not being able to agree to the first driver, that I agreed to have the second driver pick up my car regardless of the cost difference. Sean told me that once the car was picked up, it would take 7-10 days maximum for the car to arrive. He was going to give me my drivers information but he FORGOT, until I had to remind him the day before she was supposed to arrive.

On Sunday, the driver came to pick up my car and she was very nice. No problems whatsoever. Sean told me that my car was going to come on June 2, at the latest. June 2nd came and I had no car. I called the driver, she said it actually takes 14 days and my broker Sean was incorrect to have quoted me 7-10 days. Is 4 days a big difference ? No, but at this rate, I was just tired of getting hustled by Sean. My driver knew I was getting a little antsy so she actually made it by 13 days, which means I just got my car today, July 3. I came with $1300 and asked for her info for future transports. I also inquired about prices and she said her standard is 1300. So no, she did not charge 1375 like Sean said, so he did not contribute a single dime and probably profited 175 for the company. Again, it's all a business, people need to make their money, I don't have a problem with that. But please, do it with honesty and integrity.
