Letter to Jack Ballner of RoadRunner Auto Transporter

I couldn't be more disappointed with your service. First, I heard nothing from you or your driver until approx. 8:PM last night, to say he was going to drop vehicle you were contracted to transport on Sat. (6/21) at 10:PM last night (6/23). This was too late, but that's only a small part of my bad experience.

Allow me to recap:

First; you (Jack) said driver would have jumper cables or capacity to start vehicle I said had dead battery. That wasn't true; guy from whom I purchased vehicle had to call AAA to jump car, which again I made clear had dead battery.

Second, email recap offered pick-up date of 6/22 and drop off date of 6/23. I was initially told 6/21, but that's a small point. Vehicle was not dropped off on 6/23, but rather today (6/24). I made clear fact that I needed time frame with which I could share with individual from whom I purchased vehicle, and was never provided one despite leaving several messages for you (Jack) and your company to call me with info.

The individual from whom I purchased vehicle said driver would be at his residence on Sat. afternoon, but cancelled saying he couldn't make it until Sun. (still no time offered). Driver then called saying he would be there Sun. morning but didn't show-up until 1:30 - 2:PM, and he offered that the driver told him he would be up in the SF Bay Area to my residence around 7:PM (still no call from anyone at Roadrunner or driver).

Received call from unintelligible driver (who does not speak English) saying that he would arrive at 10:PM, but had no jumper cables or way to start car to unload. BTW, it should not be expected that a receiver can conduct a reasonable review of the vehicle condition after dark, unless you check and ensure such with the receiver ahead of time.

The driver texted at approx. 9:30 PM to say he could not drop off vehicle until following day, without offering a time—despite fact that I told him that I had to leave town on business at 6:30 am that morning.

I texted driver at 5:30 AM to ask what time he could drop off car, to which he responded "4 mins".

Driver showed-up with vehicle and needed me to open hood, jump start car, and back off single car carrier.

WTF? Is this how you guys do business? What a hassle. Not only will I never use you guys again, I'll make sure I share my thoughts with those of whom I do business - including the U.S. government, for whom you say you move military personnel vehicles.

Still no call. Guess Jack Ballner only works in Sales.
