Don't let cheap price sucker you in

I had a car in NC to ship to NY. My normal carrier has does them for $330 for the last few years. They didn't have any traffic to the area I needed to haul from. I have used one other company in the past that charge $450 and did a great job and did what they said they would. So I figured that was about the going rate. When I contracted AA All Star, I should have known by the "upfront price" of $299 that something was up. That means that the trucker is only going to get $100. There isn't a trucker in the world that would take it for $100. A couple weeks went by and I called and talked to some gentleman. He was very rude when I asked when I might see my car. "there is no guarantee of a pickup date, it could be months, read the contract!" was his answer. So a couple more weeks went by, they called a couple times with "a guy in the area that could pick up my car" but it never happened. Finally Bambi ( who is very nice by the way) stated that they probably wouldn't be able to pick my car up for the price they had quoted.OK, no problem. I returned her call, thanked her for trying, offered her $50 for her time and to send me the refund. It took over two weeks and several calls to get the refund. Then instead of keeping the $50, they kept $100. I've sent emails asking why and to refund the other $50, no response. Too bad they chose to do business like that. Do not use...

We settled our differences, and he was compensated, what more does he want? This is a great example , some people you can never be happy, no matter what you do for them. Obviously, the car shipping is not what his issue is. There seems to be something else brewing in his life, that is much greater and he is taking it on on us, which is unfair and actually quite sad. Most people are great, and appreciative and others just suck life out of everyone they meet, like Mark who is vening about nothing.
