Frustrating Experience

I found Ship A Car Direct through this website, i spent two weeks getting quotes from different companies on here. With Ship A Car Direct being the highest rated company on the site and offering me almost the lowest offer of all the companies I quoted from, I felt I was in good hands. So I was quoted for $1075 and was told I was to deposit $225 dollars to a link for the transporting company Anthony's Auto Transport, Inc. provided in an e-mail on Sep. 3rd. I was concerned because I wasn't aware of my Drivers name or his phone # yet. Which I had to find out before I was going to deposit any money to anyone. At this point, Jason had done what he had to do and i was introduced to Jesus. He told me he was the dispatcher and that he could not give me the drivers phone number and I would talk to him, the dispatcher, about any questions I had. I was a little thrown off by this but then again this was my first time shipping a vehicle. I was told the vehicle could be picked up as early as the morning of Sep. 5th. I was okay with that and was excited to hear the vehicle could be here by the night of Monday Sep. 8th or afternoon of Sep. 9th. I made it very clear right then and there that I needed to know of a more exact ETA as soon as possible to make sure my boss would let me leave work. He said he would let me know by Sunday Sep. 7th and also told me if I couldn't make it I should try to find someone else to pick it up. Which I would not do because they probably wouldn't have checked the car for damages like I would. I was not notified until the vehicle was being picked up that I could have stored up to 100 lbs. of personal gear in the trunk. He called me Sunday informing me the vehicle would be available Monday night between 4-6pm. I said okay and I followed up the next afternoon to make sure everything was still fine. When I called at 11am he said he forgot to call me and that the truck broke down last night and it would be here Tuesday now. He told me he'd call me by the end of the day and confirm a decent time. He never called and I called him 3 times that night with no answer, called again the next morning. He answered and acting like he didn't do anything wrong informed me that the part for the truck is still being ordered. He tells me now that it will be available Wednesday between 4-6pm. So this already was frustrating because I had to explain to my boss why I have to keep changing the time. Jesus, the dispatcher, tells me again that he will inform me the end of the night a good ETA. I call him 4 times through out the day when he finally calls me back. He tells me it will be on time for wednesday night and when I asked him why he keeps telling me he is going to follow up with a time for me and then I have to do it, Jesus' answer was , "Well, you're not the only customer I forgot to inform." At this point I contacted Jason and told him I would like to talk to a manager about this Anthony's Auto Transport, Inc. customer service. He called me the next day and was also frustrated about the situation. He told me he would put them on their do not use list, who knows if that happened. I then came in contact with Jennifer, a manager of Ship A Car Direct. She listened to what happened and seemed frustrated as well about the situation. When i mentioned I didn't know the contract details until the car was picked up, she told me the emails were probably in my junk folder. They were not, and were never sent. She verified the car would be there that-night, and that was the end of what she could do for me. Unfortunately I was not compensated on my overall payment. The vehicle arrived Wednesday. After going to 3 different Walmart's because the dispatcher kept telling me the wrong one. (Off the 78, then off the 78 on college blvd. when actually it was the 76 on college blvd.) the car was in good shape. To sum it up, if I'm going to pay $1000+ and have my vehicle in the hands of someone other than me, I expect good customer service. Especially with my persistent personality. Jason and Jennifer were excellent but the carrier Anthony's Auto Transport, Inc. and their dispatcher, Jesus, it ruined my experience. I hope they get rid of that carrier but either way I will not be a returning customer.
