AMG Transport is a broker only, and has a "bad attitude towards customers." He starts out telling you how he is smarter than anybody else on the planet and he is the only person that can get your vehicle transported. I had previously listed with a broker that could not get the vehicle picked up within 21 days, and apparently had listed my vehicle on the board for $1500, which is also dishonest and an attempt to cost you more on their way out. Gary doesn't want to wait until the car is delivered to Sumas, WA to get paid as he advises he has cash-flow problems and also because he has split the transport into 3 segments: pick-up in SC to Atlanta; Atlanta to Seattle; Seattle to Sumas. Gary proposed that he would put $250 through on credit card after the pick-up, then I was to wire the balance, $1350, after the vehicle arrived at Sumas, WA. After the vehicle arrived at Seattle, Gary phones and wants the money wired to him immediately, reasoning that the car is only 100 miles away. After some disagreement, I wired the funds in full within 3 h ours, but by the time I returned home Gary is yelling on my phone that I will not get the car until the money clears his bank and that he has instructed a Seattle transport to store the vehicle at $100/day. I emailed the wired confirmation to Gary, but he was not interested in complying with the contract; he would not even provide his swift number or routing code which were necessary to send the wire. After 3 long-distance calls to his bank, I was able to obtain them. When the funds had cleared and was confirmed by my bank; his bank; and even Gary by email on Thursday, he was to get the vehicle delivered to Sumas Friday morning, Aug. 29, 2014. I received a call from the driver too late to deliver to US Customs, so we are now into a long week-end and I will not receive my vehicle until Tues. Sept 2 ( a total of 19 days) at an additional cost of $400 USD. Apparently transporting a vehicle has become a licence to lie and steal from customers; be abusive on the phone to seniors; cause up to 40 days stress, as the "broker" abuses you; lies; and extorts money from you. In Gary's own words, "He could care less about what I think; what's fair; or what I think the contract is. Apparently, it's all about how much you can get away with; and spew verbal threats and extort money. There is no place for people like this in business; he should be in jail, and maybe that's possible.
