First off, the car shipping process has some inconsistencies no matter what company you choose to broker the deal. Costs and quotes will inch up and at some point you must hold your ground. And, most carriers will charge more for weekend pickups if they will do them at all. The second layer trucking company is going to ultimately set their price, so be careful not to get overly upset with the reprentative who negotiates on your behalf. My advice, plan your pick-up 10-14 days in advance. Based on my experience, under 7 days is challenging and will often cost you even more.

This is my second time in the last ten years shipping a car coast to coast. The first time went fairly smooth, but this shipment had a highly motivated Auto Shipping Group, Inc. employee (Olivia Maxie) staying on top of the truck company/dispatcher. Considering all the typical layers in car shipping (broker, trucking company, drivers), it went amzingly well. Olivia treated my shipment like it was her own car shipment. Due to a very serious ATV accident and hospitalization, I had to change the pick up date at least three times in the course of a couple days. After numerous calls and multiple people coordinating my pickup involving at least 5 different cell phone numbers, Olivia kept at it from beginning to end to ensure the car was picked up and delivered within the timeframe.
