Why make threats?

I first received a call from Cisco at Xpress Transportaion LLC and was quoted a price of $900 shipping late the following week and I told them to go ahead and set me up with their company. Much later that day I got a call from liar Alex who told me the price was now $995. He told me to forget about Cisco because he was the dispatcher and that $995 was the price now but that the truck would come Saturday. Oh, and he wanted a deposit, something numerous companies warn against doing? So I told him get the truck here and I will sign and pay. I because I didn't trust the guy I went ahead and set up a backup plan for the following week with another more reputable company that doesn't require the deposit and they had quoted me a price of $950. He calls me back the next day wanting me to cancel with the other company while telling me that his company is better and to pay him the deposit now. He tells me that the other company has the price listed at $1100 on the truck job quote list they use and he proceeds to give me a song and a dance about it all. However he told me on the first day that they use their own trucks and so are much more reliable and have better prices because of that. So I am left wondering which is it? Are they a full broker service or do they actually have trucks? In case of the latter it doesn't matter what other companies are doing or listing prices for. I have a Graduation to attend, moving to be done, and a family so I tell him to get the truck there ship-day.

Ship-day comes and I get a call from him very upset. Alex: "Why haven't you canceled, you have time to call another company but not me?" (I had just woken up not an hour or so beforehand after having spent the entirety of the previous day in graduation ceremonies and was cleaning the car interior at that moment and had yet to make any calls). I think, Ok, wise guy and then tell him, "If you are so bent out of shape about this then cancel the shipment with me and go get business elsewhere." He says he still wants my business. "First come first serve, get your truck here and my money is yours." Alex: "Is that how you think this works? Well you tell me smart guy why is you car not being picked up?" Alex then proceeds to call me a piece of $#it and that my car is a piece of $#it and that he will never allow my car to get shipped with any company. I then ask, "So you are threatening me now?" Alex: "Yeah I will personally make sure your trash car will never make it to its destination." I then tell him "Enjoy the review I am going to leave you then."

My recommendation would be to not give this company your business. At the drop of a hat they will lie to you, threaten you, and take advantage of you in any way they can. Been a long time since I have been treated this disrespectfully. But I am not the only one they have treated this badly. He too was threatened by this same company, a Mr. Allen in particular.
There are other similar reviews on this site that talk about their deplorable and crude behavior. Those reviews saved me from making the initial deposit and potentially locking myself with those people. Thank you fellow reviewers. Please, dear reader, judge accordingly.
Ask yourself "Why make threats and curse at your customers?"

They also seemed to have somewhat followed through on their threat. It did take me an extra week or so to get my car out west but I got it out here for $1000. The reputable carrier told me that the truck that would take the job would have breakdowns the day of and that they couldn't pick it up (happened 3 times). Who was telling the truth? Was it unlucky coincidence? Either way, my advice is to never even give these petty individuals a call and avoid them like the plague.
