When I decided to transport my car from Cleveland to San Francisco, I was overwhelmed by the task 'cause I've no idea about the car transportation industry and all those brokers let alone the carriers. Then I did a little homework on transport reviews.com and finally decided to go with Ship a Car Direct. This decision proved to be quite right at the end. First, it didn't ask for the deposit in the beginning. It was not as pushy as many other brokers and the webpage is informative for a layman like me. I got some useful tips from the website and the broker about things to be aware of and take extra attention to. Besides, the broker tried to coordinate a good time between you and the carrier although the accuracy of delivery and picking up time can be further improved. I also suggest to use a tracking system to update the status of your car like online shopping so that car owners can be most assured. It took 5 days to transport my car from Cleveland to SF, which was ok with me. Not so quick, but also not too long that could cause any unnecessary worries. The car was delivered in a fairly good condition except it was a little dirty with some bird poops...Anyway, I would go for Ship A Car Direct again if I do it next time. It is not one of the cheapest, but it can give you the assurance you need when you need to ship your baby.
