Vehicle was delivered to me in Florida, no bill of lading was left either at pick up or delivery. Vehicle appeared to be fine when delivered, however I DID NOT CHECK UNDERSIDE OF TIRES 2on this brand new Volvo S90, driven only 4 miles before transport. weeks later, one tire began losing air. Car mechanic advised that damage to BOTH tires, a band of chewed up rubber, was caused by improper securing of vehicle during transport. Volvo dealership, where new tires were acquired at a cost of $709, agreed. However, both Montway and 4 Wheels declined to accept responsibility. I will never again use a broker, who weasels out of responsibility for their transporter, nor would I use 4 Wheels. Further investigation on my part reveals they have 13 violations over less than 24 months through Safety Management System Data. Why would any broker use this transporter?

Montway has a fully operational Carrier Compliance department so we assure our customers that Montway only utilizes fully licensed and insured truckers who pass FMCSA safety standards and undergo a thorough vetting process prior to being accepted into our carrier network. Carriers are evaluated by FMCSA on many factors and the interpretation of that data as expressed here is incorrect. It is important to focus on the real issue in this particular situation whereas the problem was reported 19 days after delivery. The condition of the wear-and-tear of the tread of the tires are not part of the inspection process, so with the vehicle being out of the trucker's possession for 19 days, driven for over 600 miles during that time, with no knowledge of the tire's previous condition, there is no way to attribute the alleged damages to transport. The vehicle although a 2017, had been previously driven for hundreds of miles according to the mileage taken at pick up. Of course we sympathize with such situations and do everything we can to help our customers and therefore have resolved the situation to the customer's satisfaction. Thank you
