Picked up and delivered late and charged more

Very unhappy that they picked car up late so I had to find someone who could keep the car as I left the state. Then when they did have a carrier they charged us $200 more or they would not pick up and deliver the car as agreed.

Please note that the price is quoted and the price change was only an option that you have the right to decline in which we will continue to look for a carrier to transport your vehicle. Also, wanted to take the opportunity to explain that all service dates in the auto transport industry are only estimated, and the auto transport industry is much different than the package delivery industry due to different factors: traffic delays/detours/speed limits, weather delays, mandatory rest stops, pickup/delivery client availability delays, weight station check ups, police inspections, truck breakdowns, driver's health issues, etc. Thus the provided estimated dates could vary by day or two. We understand that this could be causing inconvenience for you and we sincerely apologize, as we try to make sure the transit is as smooth as possible. We understand that you booked your order in advance but carriers do not schedule vehicles that far ahead as they can not predict what will happen along the way per the many factors causing delays listed above. Placing an order weeks ahead of time may seem helpful, however in the auto transport industry, schedules are not pre-made that far in advance, their availability fluctuates daily, therefore so does their pricing. Records show that your vehicle was picked up 7/31/16 and delivered 8/5/16.The estimated time frame for the transport being 2356 miles is 6-8 days, your vehicle was delivered in 5 days which is a day before the estimated time frame begun. Montway most certainly apologizes for the inconveniences. We care about our customers and try to provide the best service possible.
